Why Counselling?

Counselling offers a grounding space to help be more present with the emotions we are feeling and the interplay between emotions and thoughts.

Once rapport and a feeling of safety is established between us, we can start to work to resolve the root causes of emotions and thought patterns that are not serving us.

All emotions are part of our human experience and from that point of view all are welcome. However, prolonged exposure to excessive emotions can cause us to “numb out” or “armour up” thereby restricting our capacity to feel other emotions and a fuller spectrum of ourselves.

Counselling gives the opportunity to open up and tuning into the body can allow emotions to move through without becoming stuck or denied. As well as facilitating greater harmony and balance in life counselling is a proven method for reducing issues like depression, overwhelm and anxiety.

Services I offer: intention setting, visualisation, inner child work, core wound healing, parts integration, acupressure, tapping, education around stress and the Nervous System.

Mindset Mentoring

I combine my clinical counselling experience with my experience of facilitating groups to work with professional athletes, clubs and academies from football and rugby to boxing and various Olympic games.

Whether clients want to navigate and recover from injury, gain confidence and self belief or resolve disruptive behavioural habits my work is always personalised, judgement free and with the client’s intentions in mind.

Sam’s approach and intuitive nature creates a safe and nurturing environment, allowing for deep exploration of both physical and emotional challenges. Our work together has provided me with valuable tools like breath-work to deal with hard moments that arise in session and in my daily life.
